You'd think that having barely 4 hours of sleep under my belt, that I'd prolly conk out today.
Isomnia can truly be such a bitch, if you know what I mean. (ahem Ping..)
Strangely not, had a pretty nice time with my Baby. :) Earlier before, I went over his place to "ciong" my Maplestory (a futile futile attempt), watch 8 episodes of Naruto and had a nice KFC lunch delivered. Thank you honey! <3

His mom had some vouchers to this hotel resaurant and hence was invited to a sumptious buffet dinner. Tho initially daunted by the theme of a Chinese cruisine, it proved to be groundless. The sesame pork ribs were of perfection, and I went for fifth helpings during dessert! *No prizes for guessing why I had a stomache thereafter.*

But hey, its been a while since I had great company for a cosy meal. Not to mention when we *pilfered* the french loaves from the buffet table. Hehe, talk about upholding our Kiasu-ism culture. It was really warming and destressing from all the effing crap I've been thru lately, and I can't be more grateful for that.

OMG! Is that my long-lost fren Jennifer Ali? She's so different from the demure young girl I knew almost a decade ago. Still looking at my Friendster in disbelief.
More later if possible.

Listening to: Shinjutsu no Uta by Do as Infinity

Finally, after a many f*cked up days...today was a most welcomed relief.

Met up with bestie Mena (and Chris later for dinner), of whom I've not seen for godforsaken eons.
I could create a whole new calendar just counting the number of days we last met. No offense tho, Caesar. Pretty much brought her around the Icon, after much ranting and raving. It was divine, jus ransacking the occasional bargain box and guess what?

I had my very first (express) manicure today! World, witness a historical moment.

It was onli 10 bucks, so I was like, hey why not?
All perky and hyper, I trooped in with Mena and let the pros do their thing. I didn't want anything too drastic on a first try, so I chose a 'ballet-pinkish' shade. Kinda like a french manicure too :); whereas Mena succumbed to a much darker vampish red which totally suited her bohemian outfit. OMG, and speaking of Outfits, I have to digress.

A streak of...I dunno something jus came over me today. I dunno what the hell make me do it, but I just did it. I dressed up like a total coquettish Japanese Lolita, consisting of a white tee, Xxxtremely short brown pleated skirt with knee-high socks and heels to boot.
Whether it was jus pure moron-ity or risk-taking, I'll never know. I think I jus wasn't thinking then. It was quite embarrasing actually, I could have sworn that eyes were jus boring into me everywhere we went. Old, young, pre-pubescent; fat thin...just about anyone with a penis. Perhaps it was the fact that I was the sheer manifestation of a Jap geek's porn fantasy. Hmm..
''' *_*

Plus, we took Neoprints to commemorate it! Wahaha..web-whoring to come soon! Note to self tho: Re-learn my Japanese fast lest I start thrashing the poor machine in a crazed frenzy.

Btw, I totally dig my new skin. Vanity, ah one of the more beloved of the Seven Deadly Sins. It looks similar to Jan's one tho, but no blaming. Its jus unfortch that blogskins like these are generic. :P

PS: thanks Baby, for being with me the whole day even tho I know you avoid these stuff like the plague. It was kinda cute watching you snooze in the manicurist's chair tho. kiss!

Listening to: Stars by Dubstars

God, I need a life. I've jus eaten dinner and am feeling totally sch-mucked for the moment.

Some how the idea of starting work tomolo doesn't seen to appeal to me as much as before.
Yups, people, my previous gig at Arran Aromatics is dunzo.
Apparently, its closing down, but ahwell. What was that adage again, about one window closes, another opens? I'll be working in this boutique called Gigileblon, at the Icon. Plssss.. go visit already!

Overlook the strange name, cos the clothes are quite cool. Its all about rocking the Brazilian, sensual yet chic style. I love the low cuts on the tops, but apparently I heard that its alil too much for us local chicks. They do have nice stuff if you want clubbing gear. :)
Its also has Abercombie and Fitch skirts and shirts, if u dig a more casual look.

~~

I'm sooooooo down. Justin had food-poisoning today, and I swear jus one day not seeing each other is already driving me insane. Its strange all right. When you're with him almost 24/7, it does not really seem to matter. But suddenly I keep thinking about kisses, hugs and making out and ahem...much more...

ARGGHH! Baby!!!! get well already! *pulls out hair in distress*

Shut up. I am NOT needy hor.

I have this theory.

Perhaps Singapore Idol is not just mere a competition of how singing talents in our little sunny island battle it out; but rather..its more on how they're trying to prove how they top each other by showing how they CANNOT sing. It was a grotesque affair last night, let me just tell u that.

I was THIS close to mutilating my ears in the bid to save my sanity from em' ruckus.
~~~
Anyway, I digress. Here's this lil gem in the rough that I stumbled at North Bridge Road, The Icon.
The Icon is this whole new shing-dig that earnest fashionistas and the hard-core bargain hunter might wanna look out for. SIX whole floors of fashion, technnos and bling-blings goodness, there's bound to be a shop or two that'll catch your attention (not to mention your wallet). Stuff comes from countries like Brazil, Hong Kong, US and Australia..
Anyhow, I wanna talk about my new favourite store called Nitty Gritty.
Aptly named, if I may say so myself. After all, we girls are certainly one who fuss over the nitty gritties of everything, and wats more when it comes to wat we adorn. The mistress of this cool lil hip utopia is Grace, who truly knows her stuff. The feel of the shop is ecklectic and sweet and girly with a twist, which happens to be just like how I dig most of my wardrobe. It carries snazzy tops, Sienna-Miller inspired shorts and lace blouses, if your going for the Victorian look.
**Another thing to look for; its freaking BARGAIN CRATE! It has some really cute cotten slogan tees and chic skirt. Did you know I bought like 30 bucks worth of stuff on my first visit?! lol..and I jus had my eye on this chic blue tweed skirt today...
Also, dun forget to check out the bags and acessories. The bags kinda reminicesnt of Tomato Can's, but more personalised and way funkier. Lace, trim and all sorta materials you can think of to make the ultimate arm candy. :) Just one is enough to dress up a drab outfit. Patchwork has never been that cool til now, if you ask me.
Kudos to Grace's effort on her accessories..of which MOST are actually HAND-MADE by her. I,being a person of extremely low patience know exactly how difficult it is to piece jus 1 together. They range from simple mis-matched ear-studs (A must-have) to elaborate brooches and hair clips.
To die for, come on. Say it with me.
well, thus ends my report. Stay tuned for more updates! :)
