listening to: Stan by Eminem

Today was certainly a field day for the election parties here at Simei. Round and round the estate, the opposition party kept blaring non-stop in a pick-up truck. I being a swa-gu, was like gawking at them like a moron.
Around much later in the evening, PAP entourage actually visited our flat and I even got to shake hands with our Deputy Prime Minister, Mr Jayakumar! hehe, hows tht for a close encounter? :)

Anyhow, I digress. After sitting infront of the telly, watching DaChangJing for NINE godammit hours, I totally feel tht my brain has curdled into Chinese tofu.
I am offically a Tofu-head, as I've coined it. Curse Korean melodramas and my stupid addiction to it. *frowns*

Anyhow, I'll be quitting my job by the end of May. It has been the catalyst of both happy and sad times. Despite the bitchfights and long hours of facing, as Sam has so eloquently put it; 'utterly idiotic customers'. A select few with hearing problems, I might add. BUT, then again.. thats how retail is.
Anyhow, anybody want 30% discounts on the products come visit asap k? I'll recommend u guys the more *bang-for-yr-buck* products.

well, gonna toddle off for now. I miss YOU, beyotches. ;P

Listening to: Yi Ge Ren Sheng Huo by Some sexy sounding taiwanese singer

I nicked a few CDs from my shop to download in my lappie, cos the lack of new songs is slowly but surely killing me. Hopefully by the time I've finally consolidated a nice j-boxie of songs, I'd have saved up enough to get myself the Ipod Nano (Black) I've been lusting after all this while.:/

The new school term draws near, and it seems tht like 3/4 of our class will be in the April intake. I'll miss most of them, but yet at the same time I think I welcome the refreshing change. Yes, i say tht with a touch of bitter-sweet sadness. The boyfren will be in it, whereas I'll be in the August one. What little time we have together wil be cut even further, but I guess Ican't do much either.
I wish I had the energy to pull an ultimatium a la Diva but I know better. The doubt of a lasting reationship hovers in my thoughts, even more frequently as of late. But I guess its key to have more faith.

And I think... i may be back to retail therapy in the-not-quite-so-distant future. Jeepers.

Listening to: God is a DJ (i love tht song. :) its kicks ass. )

Ok, i think I may be somewat of a hypocrite. :P:P

*refer to previous entry*
I finally succumbed to my urge of shopping, again. Somemore ah, i did TWO purchases in the same day. Fucking kick in the head; I think I totally max-ed out my powercard for the day. Which means another two weeks of surving on bread, water and sympathetic donations.(I'm only half-joking bout the last one peeps.)

My item of sinful indulgence: this gorgeous pair of brown and pink, pointed toe-covered heels from VNC ($29.90). I am a total VNC fan, and whenever I see a dream pair..i hasten to grab it. Trust me, their designs run out fast. Last time I hesitated about this creamy kitten-heels, it was lost to me forever.

It was hilarious at the Raffles branch, thanks to monkeys Halim and Ras. Met up with Kate initially to jus have lunch and pass her the VCDS for her movie marathon with a certain someone. *ahem* And then a few hours later, I found myself rolling in helpless laughter erstwhile gawking at Ras walking in Kate's high-hills. Lets jus say that a mountain gorilla sashaying has more grace than he does. LOL!

How do u guys take to shopping at branded retailers?

Guess, Zara, Mango, Converse, Charles & Keith, Forever 21... The list goes on.

I still dun get, no matter how much my 'specific group' of frens try to chant into me. Wat the hell is soooo great about a brand? All it emcompasses is the idea of fabulosity by a specific design(er). Or perhaps that its cool to trot about with a branded emblem across your clothes. Hmm.
And yet all I understand from that is... that people these days have no creativity. No sense of individuality, and everyone everywhere will prolly be indistinguishible adorning the identical Mango top or that age-old slogan tee from Hula and Co.

I dun shun brands, but I personally think that there is more fun in venturing to flea markets and downtown shops; like Bugis Village and Haji Lane, scouting out the best finds and paying only a mere fraction of wat u would pay for a brand. You save money, u get the stuff u want, and it is a HELL LOTTA FUN when u go bargain shopping with yr best girl-frens.

Or best guy frens. Thts if they have a penchant for shoppping too. Not to mention u gain a great workout jumping from one place to another.

I love bargain-hunting. And I think tht its the person that wears the clothes, and not the other way round. Brands are just a 'myth'. I think coolness stems from self-actualization and self-confidence; and believe me when u feel good about yourself, u feel and look a million bucks even if u stroll down Orchard Rd in your old tattered jeans and oversized sweater.

Cheers and air-kisses, my darlings. ;)

Saw a picture of Spiderman 3 in Black. Looks promising.

Work today started off with a horrid note. L.B, otherwise known as the pregnant collegue, was acting up again. Over a disagreement of who lent who cash and the usual 'she-told-me-tht-u-said-this-behind-my-back', and subsequently spiralled down to a totally immature bitchfest. Then, again...whats new? Its like expected, I mean come on, this is retail line after all.

Then again. It is FUCKING getting on my nerves.

Listening to: The me of you (Stairway to Heaven OST)

Argh, the gaming bug has bitten me hard and I'm currently at the point that if I dun finish my current feitish A.K.A Fatal Frame III, I can jolly well look forward to a many sleepless nights. I just came back from a 6 hour long PS2 marathon from Carl's place.
Today was certainly odd; where my gaming need reigned supreme and making-out became secondary, a distant memory. :P

F-F: Final Fantasy. BBBLLLEEEHHH!

so last century.

F-F: Fatal Frame. *knowing grin* Now we're talking.

To those who have not yet discovered the joy of gaming, be it PS2, Xbox or com... Fatal Frame may perhaps be one of the more distinguishable and adrendaline-pumping games that has been created up to date.
It steers clear from maniacal chain attack killings, like CS, Halo and Warcraft. Wearing out thumbs are really not my thing, and neither is mindless slaughtering. It is RPG(role-playing) and it takes heart. The story plot is one that is long and intriguing, tho sometimes gets monotonous, still makes u wanna find out more.

In a nutshell; fatal frame and its predecessors focus round a severly haunted location (in this case, III is a mansion) and the idea is to find out the whole idea of the story. As u explore deeper into the annals of it, u are armed with an ancient camera which u have to take pictures of the spectures to eliminate them. On top of that, u have to navigate yr way out of a series of confusing mazes and countless rooms.

Fatal Frame III rocks. Period. The graphics were nothing short of spectacular, which was nothing surprising from other works of Jap animators. What I liked about this was the characters were able to move considerable fluidly; tho when attacks rained, it was somewhat cumbersome to dodge or evade.

Anothing to rave is the sound effects and the angles of POV . GOOD LORD were they scary; from the haunting lullably of the 'Sleeping Priestess' to the heart-stopping thumping cacophony as u approach to a high-level ghost. Loved it tht when ever a hostile apparition starts to appear, lines and blurring of the scene happens, like from an old movie. Adds much to the authencity of the game.
The POV angling was flawless; unlike Final Fantasy and etc, it cuts from many different points, such tht as u are playing it seems tht u are also watching a horror movie at the same time. It does just stop at a single position and constantly switches so as to give clearity for attacks and better viewing.

But its definitely not for the faint-hearted. The boyfren was kinda momentarily traumatised after, so yeah.

hee...anybody willing to sponsor me a PS2 anytime soon? :P:P:P
