Listening to: 100 years by Five for Fighting

I honestly wonder if I was given 100 years, would it be enough to rectify the pains and disappointments I had caused to people, and salvage the shadows of regrets in my past. A few days ago, I came home worn to the bone (to be expected, if you had been traveling all over the small island tht is Singapore), when a very saddening revelation surfaced to me. It pretty much spelled the end of a friendship I held dear, along with the cherished memories culminated throughout the year.
I guess thts to be expected in life. Its a rite of passage tht we all go through, and there's no way to please everyone. Bad blood still persists even if you try your best to steer clear from it; and malicious gossiping continues to seek your undesired company. Yet, it still saddens me whenever it happens. Life, a callous reality.

But... Thank you. To those who had stood by me when I was at my wretched lowest, listened to my pain and whinings, tolerated my craziness and took all of me. I love you guys, 'Miss She-Devil', 'Miss Huckleberry', 'Miss Cyanide'...and all the rest of whom you know who you are. A grateful hug and smile for making a bad day seem not so bad after all.

~~~
Met up with my fren Marsewi, who just came back from Australia for a visit. She looked radiant and pretty as ever, and I'm glad to see so. I even have spastic Neoprints to prove it. (Argh, but I curse the next person who bugs me to take cutesy-wutesy Japanese cartoons/animation-infused photos ever again. I look like a BLOODY moron in every shot, argh!)
By the way, I saw this really GORGEOUS fake Dior green shades for only $6.90!! I know, wth green?! But it was seriously hot, and the only thing that restrained me was the clubbing night with the babes on the 10th.
Why must I be so. Broke. (moth flies out of tattered wallet.) Sigh.
My feet, I swear, were about to die on me by the time I reached home. Whatever possessed me to wear cute shoes over comfy ones for a long day of trekking about, is waaayyy beyond me.
Blisters and sores galore; and I so deserve it. Ended the day with a pretty decent grilled chicken meal at the Bugis Cafe @ the Upstairs. Only $6.95 for a set meal; complete with the main course, soup and soft drink. :) If you ever pass by, do pop in to try. Its quite value for $$$.
PS: Dan, thanks for pain-stakingly sending me the 30-odd songs. I feel so bad! If we ever meet, drinks are on me. ;)
Listening to: Tangled up in Me by Skye Sweetnam
The past two days have been a complete blur. Everything that started with a cancelled date with a fren and the latest Harry Potter movie. Non-stop fretting here and there, plus a lil bit of a life-changing moment thrown in...you guys dun really have a clue what I'm talking about eh? Lol..All the unresolved issues culminated of the months earlier suddenly made clearer, and I've learnt a 'few' new things too. haha~
Amazing what the split second of a surprised peck can lead too.
Jude Deveaux's 'Wishes' are truly a masterpiece. Pls go read it peeps. :)
I amaze myself with my procrastination skills. It has, ultimately reached a new level. But ah well.
The World Cyber Games convention was a blast, despite knowing full well tht entering it was equivalent to stepping into a highly-charged testosterone fun-fair. Where boys mingled with the toys, and where their female counterparts sit in a corner sulking away. I think I was somewhere in the grey zone, *sheepish grin*
Headed down to Suntec City about noon with Chang Yong and Justin. Personally, it was an experience in itself cos both of them look like pretty sisters beside each other. I actually felt kinda grotesque standing beside them, lol. It was a huge convention, three ballrooms combined as one. I was pretty thrilled for a number of reasons; 1) I saw so many glorious games tht I could try out for free, 2) it was PURE guy-haven. I think I spent at least 1 hour just ogling. There was this CG competitor who looked a hell like Adam Brody, but was damn shy to ask for his no. Gosh, even the reporter who was going round interviewing (and scaring the shit outta) random people was a sight for sore eyes. Looks like I still need lessons from you, fran? :P
Back to the present. Today was pretty funny; a hands-on in the camera studio. My group was supposed to do close-up shots of Ling, but we somehow ended up zooming into her odd pimple, which was like just 'twinkling' merryily in the lighting. Evil people you are! LOL, and I nearly tot I was going to die just trying to stifle my giggles. Lunch was some horrid affair, I swear tht today is the first and last time I'm eating the Chicken rice at the Eunos hawker centre. The rice was like half-cooked/under-cooked, and it didn't really look all tht appetising.
But at least Mena and Claire had a time jibe-ing each other's bloated tummies. lol, ladies... and speaking of which; has anyone seen Heidi Klum's figure? For someone who has conceived twice, she sure looks great. I wanna look tht hot when I'm her age, doin the same. Here's piece of the unfairness :
Also, I busted my wallet today, on rental of my sinful indulges: Japanese manga. Yeah, i know... Smart move alright. Gonna do a tribute to one of my fave singers in the next entry, and start answering those annoying hunger pangs.
Laters.
Listening to: Hollaback Girl by Gwen Stefani
Yet another dull day. Spent it by washing toilets and folding fresh laundry. My mom loves me, you can SOOOOOOOOO tell.
Argh. WHY is it always when you're thoroughly broke, the best buys and gorgeous stuff just pop out everywhere. And when you've finally saved enough, you just can't seem to find anything nice. Centrepoint's JWEST had its cosing sales, but I still couldn't afford this gorgeous pair of vintage green heels which cost like 50 bucks. Sigh..I think this is some sort of phenomenon that always manages to find its way to me. Humbug to that.
Christmas is finally around the corner; and Lord knows I've got a gazillion things on my mind. Really excited too; my fren from Monash University is coming back to S'pore for a visit. I've really missed her, and can't wait for the shopping sprees and guy-ogling to begin. LOL!
But alas, have you seen the decor in Orchard? They're like bling-ish road-kill, man. Where have all the formerly classy and quirky designs gone too? I've always looked forward to the Light-Up in Orchard, but this year's really a disappointment. Just old gold and red cut-outs towering over the roads, with the standard fairy lights on the side.
Anyhow, on a brighter note. Mena and I are thinking of heading to JB for some budget-shopping. Anyone interested, feel free to msg me or something. If guys want anything, tell me and I'll see what I can do. Am so gonna take advantage of this to get this sheer-pink Mango top tht I saw a day ago. :) And I so wanna get bags!! I swear I'm on the total bag-fetish, what after drooling over all those arm-candies on bohemian-funk.blogspot.com.
So on the spirit of wants and want-nots, I'm gonna go start my wishlist right now. :P Oh btw, dun forget to watch 'I am Sam' by Sean Penn and the adorable Dakota Fanning. Great show it is.
Considering how I'm still not tht well at the moment, it must have been by some miraculous fluke tht my already inflamed throat has survived our 3hr Kbox session (which was incredulously cheap, $6 per head). It was Cantonese, Chinese, English and even Jap songs galore. Oh I do the things I do.
Anyhow, I digress. Just read Ping's latest entry, and was somewhat surprised to see that she mentioned about the Clapbangkiss blog. For the blissful ignoramuses, its by some chick named Dawn Yeo. Whether claims tht she had plastic surgery done, I'm not certain, but www.xialanxue.blogspot.com has an array of photos tht would pretty much suggest otherwise. Once again, I'm blown away by the power tht is the surgery knife. How do u get from this
to
this???!!!
And its times like these I'm really jealous of em' bloggers, the likes of Xiaxue and Dawn. For one, defend as they might, they earn a significant more than the average teen. They get endorsements just at the click of a perfectly-manicured finger, and every posted photo flaunts a great time spent; be at clubbing, holidaying at some fantastic country, or canoodling up to the next hottie. And here I am slogging away to get a part-time job tht pays decent at least.
Sigh...
Even so, their writing style isn't really tht unique and all that witty. Xiaxue; despite being named as the Blogger of the Year(and trust me, not a day goes by with her harping on about it), her works are mostly consisting of bitching about the day's happenings and a fair amount of hokkien-scatological infused cussing. I do enjoy reading her parodizing of people and her personal experiences tho. (read the one about measuring penises, good for a laugh). :) Dawn's style; well if there was any, in the first place, is pretty much average, with an occasional refreshing perspective. Still, who am I to critique if I can do as well?
If you ask me, I think good and edgy writing should be of the essence. It can enrapture and enthrall the reader, and it doesn't make the reader feel like he wasted few precious minutes of his life reading crap.I would recommend reads by Ping, Fran and Jaslyn. Each has a distinguishing way of writing, and never a dull entry. Not trying to be modest or anything, but I'm seriously nowhere near the same league as them. But I'm passionate about the written and spoken word, so I shall plough forth for improvement. =)
Listening to: Pieces of Me by Ashlee Simpson
Am going straight to Hell for glomping chocolate in the morning while running a fever. It feels strange, since I've not fallen sick for the last 2, 3 years. My throat feels like ultra-strong sandpaper, and I'm aching everywhere. Yet I amazingly find the strength to crawl to my laptop to blog and even discover my new eyecandy... Bonus; today's last episode of Jap-drama was sweet and romantic. Bout time you made that move, my good man Ueda-san.
Argh. Dun feel like going for class tomolo, but its TV & RADIO PRODUCTION!!! Cannot miss.
Show me your love y'all?
Listening to: You're Beautiful by James Blunt
A relatively lazy day, tht was made up of slumping in a corner with the Da Vinci Code and trying desperately to avoid a strange dish that a neighbour had given us. Ever tried 'salad-popiah'? lol, i think it tasted as odd as it looked. Ah well...phuit! to my choosiness when it comes to food.
I feel a sore throat on the way. No surprise, considering how I just got off an hourlong conversation with Willy at my void-deck. No, you prudes, he ain't my boyfriend. Just a brudder whom I've not spoken for the longest time; and it was pretty nice to reminisce the old times, not to mention the occasional anime-babble and the latest Star-Wars parody.
Its kinda sad, i think, when you lose touch with frens who meant a lot to you, and still do. Shall not launch into yet another sentimental recollection of the past, but it stills tugs at my heart when I think about it. Sigh.
On a happier note: the MDIS funfair wasn't such a total flop after all. :) We managed to sell some stuff and I even got a henna-tatto/ free manicure. (thank you Lina and April, you dahlings are the best~) Jon dropped in for a visit, despite the sucky location that is our store, and yes, I'll have to agree with you on the 'hell-hole' comment. ^^ The weather was beyond tolerable levels, its a wonder tht neither Aishu, Mena nor I passed out.
Then evening came, and the Unicampus came to life. The large hollowed arena was lit up by neon lights (they have a tendency to look cool in the dark, yeah?) and laser-effects. I still can't believe that we had a GROOVE PARTY in out own SCHOOL. Is tht cool or plain spastic? lol, I leave it to you to decide.
Afternoon classes beckons. I predict yet another boring day but thats life.
Nite y'all.
It seems tht the phase of anonymous flamers has surfaced yet again. Strangely excited about it, since someone must really have a thing for u to waste time, effort, brain-power and finger-strength to come up with a marginally decent insult.
*Bats eyelashes* And to think I'm worth such trouble. I think...I'm flattered. LMAO! For more details, pls refer to Fran's tagboard. Now, although this really doesn't bother me the least bit, I'm pretty intrigued.
I happen to assume, on pretty good grounds that this person is from class. The one thing i dun understand: How someone can have such loathing and dislike, possibly even hate for me. A pint-sized 1.58m girl. How can said person can hold in all these negative vibes, erstwhile seeing me everyday is really an ultimate test to willpower.
Well, let this be known. Not to be taken as some ominous, sinister-sounding warning or something, but if you are fucked up with me about something, come up straight to me face-to-face, man-o-mano, and speak to me civilised. Or alternatively, if you want to challenge me to a bitch-fight, I'm also up for it. Jus tell me where and when to bring my wushu attire.
Its one thing to be a big phoney, repress your true feelings; its another to be out and loud about it. Fearless and reckless, but in a good way. People may not always understand the things I do/ act, and why. But I am me, am Noone else. I dun think I need to answer to anyone except God, my parents and self. Love yourself, and maybe...me too?
Cos its waaaaayy cooler to gain a new fren than another loser to bother about.
Love to all out there, my dudettes, babes, darhlings~~~~
And we bid you a good nite.... (Mena, stop poking your trident at Ling!)
My sisters of this hallowed, dark nite~~
My favourite couple; Mena with wacky bf Chris. The girl nicked my peacock fan! Hmph!!!
Ling is fantastic. She drank so much and was still standing from. I salute you, oh drinking-goddess.
Our love-birds having a tender moment, we reckon?
Wahaha...as you can tell, I'm so redundant here.
Night of the living dead: Meet Sachiko, our new gal pal. Snuffed while trying to do a face-mask. See where vanity get you?
Bloody #%^&. The dude easily reaches for the top while poor Claire and I grappled. Oh height-ists!
The new addition who scared the bejesus outta all of us! BOOYA~~ (Note: Mena's the only one smiling. Wonder why? ;)
My fren for life. Doesn't matter if you have horns and that you're hottter than me, baby. wahaa!
This new guy I met seems to have homicidal tendencies. Be nice if he wasn't pointing his axe at me tho...
The whole gang. Cheers to all! Happy Halloween~~~~
Our two VERY smokin' hot girls: pun totally intended. *GRIN*
Clawing for the tombstone. Chris does this pretty cool effect with his cigarette smoke.
Tht's exclusively our headstone: frm left, Claire, Ling, Me, Germ and Sherry. But seems like Claire erm...got the upperhand?
Our dearie who so kindly provided the camera for all these great pics. Rock on!
Net-fren Jon and me. He is damn tall and I was trying like crazy to take a proper pic with him. See how he has hunch and I sit ramrod straight?
Aww yes...sure we look divine. LOL, tell us something we dunno? Traaalaalaaa~~
A cute snap of the only minion in our group. See how I'm reaching for her irresistable charms?
At the stroke of midnight, I sprouted fangs!!! Nah, DXO had these really cute gummy sweets in the shape of incisors. I glomped it after this shot. Yummy-licious!
Hehe, not to be arrogant here. But everybody wants a piece of me. Literally!
Claire and Ling pouts for the camera. wahahah, nicely done.
Warming up to the camera; Germ the angel, me a sassy Peacock, Sherry a perky Ayumi-Hamasaki-ish gypsy and Mena the H.O.T devil. Grr!
